Occupational Therapy Practitioner's Role In Helping Women Live Fulfilling Lives After Spinal Cord Injury
Only 20% of SCIs occur in women, and educational training on SCI management is gender-neutral or male-targeted. The course will discuss specific gender barriers that occur among the female demographic post-SCI and intervention regarding toileting, health management, pregnancy, menstrual care, sexual health, and the prevalence and decline in psychosocial well-being post-injury.
