Course Abstract

This presentation will address Medicare guidelines as they pertain to therapy documentation in a skilled nursing facility (SNF). Topics covered will include conditions of coverage, certification of services, documentation requirements and the Medicare appeals process.

Rex Crosby, OTR/L

Rex A. Crosby, OTR/L, has many years of experience as an Occupational Therapist in a variety of settings including Inpatient Rehab, Acute Care and Outpatient Neuro and Pediatric Rehabilitation.  Rex also has extensive SNF experience as a clinical OT and Therapy Program Manager.  Currently he is the Vice President of Continuous Quality Improvement for Encore Rehabilitation Services.   Rex has presented at state conferences on topics including Recovery Audit Contractors, Census Development, Maximizing Reimbursement Through Therapy, and Clinical Documentation.
