Course Abstract

This text-based course is a written transcript of the course, "Compliance: More Than Just Following The Rules," presented by Rex Crosby, OTR, on November 11, 2011.

This presentation will address compliance, compliance laws and the guidelines for the enforcement of fraud, waste and abuse in health care. It will also cover the 5 main areas of focus healthcare organizations are concerned with in regards to compliance.

Rex Crosby, OTR

Rex A. Crosby, OTR, has many years of experience as an Occupational Therapist in a variety of settings including Inpatient Rehab, Acute Care and Outpatient Neuro and Pediatric Rehabilitation. Rex also has extensive SNF experience as a clinical OT and Therapy Program Manager. Currently he is the Director of Continuous Quality Improvement for Encore Rehabilitation Services. Rex has presented at state conferences on topics including Recovery Audit Contractors, Census Development, Maximizing Reimbursement Through Therapy, and Clinical Documentation.
