Course Abstract

The course will offer considerations in the process of evaluation and assessment as part of the supervisory process. Specific strategies, as well as pitfalls to avoid, will be offered with application to the supervision of students and supervisees within the work setting.

I liked the fact that there was time spent on keeping in mind how we rate clinical fellows. I know there are times when I give consistent scores without looking at each area clearly. This offered a good way to do this.

Carol Dudding is Director of Clinical Education and assistant professor at James Madison University. Carol is the principle investigator and program director of an online Masters degree program in speech language pathology and a project exploring the use of telepractice in the public schools. Carol has published and presented internationally and nationally on the topics of clinical education and supervision, telepractice and e-supervision and online learning.
