Our Thankful List

The countdown to Thanksgiving has started, which means it is time for OccupationalTherapy.com to share what we are most thankful for this year.

We are thankful for the overwhelming success of our first virtual conference, organized by Dr. Winnie Dunn and focusing on sensory processing across the life span.  The conference has had record-breaking registration and attendance so far.  It has been an honor to work with Dr. Dunn and her colleagues and learn to apply sensory processing concepts to help our clients understand the role their own senses play in their daily lives.  Seats are still available for the courses this week, but if you missed the live webinars, you can view the recordings on our website.

We are thankful for experts like Dr. Dunn who are passionate about life-long learning, skilled at teaching, and willing to share their knowledge with colleagues about current best practice approaches to ultimately improve client care.  Since our launch in January 2012, we have had the honor of working with over 90 different speakers, each with a unique professional experience and expertise from which to learn.  Each speaker’s contribution helps us to create an evidence-based continuing education library with a rich variety of courses specific to occupational therapists and occupational therapy assistants.

We are thankful for the support and positive feedback from our members.  Over the past year, we have experienced tremendous growth in the number of new members.  Meeting the professional development needs of therapists is our primary mission, so we pay close attention to your comments and suggestions.  We hope you will continue to share your feedback with us so we can best serve you.

Last, but certainly not least, we are thankful to be in a profession as rewarding as Occupational Therapy.  The hours can be long, the work isn’t always glamorous, the recognition can be hard to come by; but at the end of the day, we are helping people discover what is important and meaningful to their own unique life experience and working with them to make it happen.

We hope OccupationalTherapy.com makes your ‘Thankful’ list.  If that is the case, please take advantage of our refer a friend program!  One of the best compliments we can receive is a referral.
