The questions posed were interesting and highlighted the researchers work in pediatrics, sensory processing and critical thinking. I wonder how this can be applied to older children and how we teach them using evidence based data from her prior studies.

I really enjoy the chance to read areas of research, particularly pediatric research, from a relaxed interview. It's great to hear how Anita's research progressed and where it lead her. It really is great to hear (or read in this case!).

Course was interesting to hear the professional outlook, belief, and path of interviewee, by describing their experiences leading to where they are now. However, did not specifically provide educational knowledge for someone to learn or follow their examples. Beneficial hearing the impact of research and inspiring to see how things, let alone a person's perspective, changes over time.

I felt that Anita Witt Mitchell, PhD, OTR, FAOTA, made a considerable pediatric contribution to the occupational therapy profession. There was a lot of areas addressed and discussed within the frame work as well as pertaining to science based therapy information and her research regarding years of her own personal dedication.

While I appreciate all that she is doing and definitively see the need for it, I feel incompetent against her in the "working world". I can't do all the things that she has done, as well as maintain a personal life. And a "doctorate" who can afford that? Not me! My feelings is that the norm is leaning toward doing more and burnout has become commonplace because we are all not striving for additional education, research or more working opportunities. I'd rather do my simple COTA job well than more things with less accuracy, passion and effort.
