Using an interview with a people who was homeless and got Covid was a subjective account and the I socially talked for too long. It would have been better if it was presented with objective and medical indicators of what comorbities that put a person at risk of Covid, the typical routines that a tradition homeless individuals typical tolerated in their ‘normal’ day to day which is poor hygiene, and the medical after affects of Covid (not just feeling anxious or scared). Generally speaking, it could have been conducted better and I do not believe I learned anything I didn’t already know.

I thought the inclusion of the interview allowed participants to reflect on the needs and priorities of the population. The recommendations for advocacy were especially helpful. Many times, I only think of treatment and not of advocacy opportunities.

The presenter was fantastic! She brought to light many issues that have a deeper impact on those who are homeless because of COVID restrictions. ALso, the interview with a client helped to understand the impact and further consequences that homeless people may have to deal with regularly. It also gave me an inside look at how much and why we rely so heavily on education of COIVD signs, symptoms, treatment, compensation strategies and why self advocating is so important. Thank you!!

Although the presenter looks so young, she is so level headed and compassionate with the population of homeless people she serves. She is doing a great job as evidenced by this very informative course based on her experience, the rapport between her and Sham, her education and her employment with an organization that has very high standards. She is like young Mother Theresa.I also liked the link to the NYTimes article about housing homeless people during COVID 19 in an upper West Side NYC hotel. In this neighborhood known for its liberal politics, the majority of residents were unhappy with the homeless persons sharing their space. One resident said that it was a good thing for the upper west siders who she described as "sheltered" to experience being among the extremely poor.Including this example of how folks may or may not respond with compassion to homeless persons in their midst exemplifies this well rounded presentation.

Addresses real life problems /current times. I work at a low income nursing home , a vast majority of our patients have come from or have lived in homeless shelters. These people are very often deprived of IADLS and even ADLS and have an increased risk of infections/sickness. Very relevant course!

This is a brilliant presentation ! The presence of the eloquent Shams underscores the value of the work that Dr Synovec is doing. She has created a dialog with him that will have a 'ripple' effect throughout the homeless community. He enjoys OT and benefits from it. He uses it in his daily life, and also when he's stricken with covid. She is a powerhouse. (Does she know that ?) She has covered so much material. This is a true glimpse into the details of what it's like to be homeless. It's so easy to turn our backs on homelessness because it's so unclear what we can do to change things. She's given us an entire matched set of luggage full of strategies and insights. I'm inspired and hopeful. This video needs to be shared more publicly.
