Uniqueness of topic. I have lost 7 babies in miscarriage and am an Occupational Therapist. I run a ministry through my church for those who have lost babies. It is wonderful to see that this area of mental health is being addressed by the field of Occupational Therapy.

The perspective the information really raised awareness. I had not particularly considered the impact on the next pregnancy, although I experienced it over 40 years ago. Back then I was told "it's just a blob of tissue" with the implication 'there was nothing real, get over it. Thank you for what you are doing to raise awareness. I think it is often another "blame the victim" issue.

I loved this very much and it is exactly in my wheelhouse. Although I have my degree as an OT, I have been working instead as a FertilityCare Practitioner working specifically with infertile women, history of infant loss, repeated miscarriage, high risk for pre-term labor and post partum depression. In your research, you might be interested to know how the lack of progesterone can cause PPD and pregnancy loss. I can send you some more sources via email. My couples struggle with this role dynamics and I feel like infertility is a diagnosed disability in which OT's can and should help these women!

The majority of the course focused on infant loss rather than PPD and mental health in general. I feel that maybe the title of the course should include Infant Loss since that is the main topic. This was a very difficult course to take at 19 weeks pregnant and I would not have taken it if I had known that would be the main course topic.
