The presentation takes a developmental approach to the understanding of the sensory system, providing participants with strategies to improve family routines. The presenter will focus on six areas of occupation that can be supported via sensory strategies (mealtime, bed time routines, morning routines, social participation, holidays, and school related activities). Part I of this presentation focuses on the underlying neurology of the sensory systems and the theoretical constructs of sensory processing. This course is open captioned.
