This course discusses current, reliable, and standardized assessments and evidence-based interventions for the upper extremity within the spinal cord injury population. It focuses on the shoulder, elbow, and hand. It also discusses current research trends, new ways to identify, intervene, and modify approaches when treating the upper extremities. Spinal Cord Injury: Medical Comorbidities
This course focuses on the medical origin of comorbidities of spinal cord injury and how they impact therapy. Examples of comorbidities that will be discussed include: autonomic dysreflexia, musculoskeletal issues, overuse injuries, pulmonary issues, and medical issues such as UTI's and decreased bone mineral density.
