This course will detail supporting research and utilization of various types of expressive art interventions, as well as the appropriate populations with which to administer these treatments. Therapists will be guided through case studies and video demonstrations to optimize learning, and an emphasis will be placed on supporting research and technique so learners will feel comfortable trying these techniques within their own practices.

This seminar will describe the anatomy and physiology of the lymphatic system in relation to risks for developing wounds. This session will also focus on different types and stages of wounds commonly occurring and outline wound management interventions for individuals living with lymphedema.

This session will review evidence-based screening and intervention strategies applicable to a balance and falls management program including research-based exercise programs, environmental modification, patient and caregiver education and balance retraining activities. Falls management program rationale and implementation is also discussed as well as interdisciplinary techniques and strategies to reduce fall risk in the elderly.

This course will give an introduction to dysgraphia to understand how it presents in children, and what strategies and accommodations are best in supporting these children.
