This was a lot of new information and I feel that I would need a mentor OT who has used these techniques to be able to feel comfortable in using these. I did feel however that I would like to know more about tethered oral tissues and would like to be able to contact other OT's, dentists, and ENT to observe surgeries and see where they refer in my area. I need to review and learn more.

Great course. Lots of great info and references. I am hoping for more courses on interventions and strategies. I know this is more of a specialized area so needing to find a higher level training than a 1 hour course. But again really get overall info, I just don’t feel I can do more than refer out after identifying the concern.

Presenter clearly had a lot of knowledge in this area, but course information was presented incredibly quickly. More case studies and pictures of different ties (across ages) would be helpful. More information in regards to functional tot assessment, as far as more details on what to look for. I see pediatric clients for feeding, mostly oral motor and use SOS and oral motor strategies. Would love to be more skilled in identifying TOTs and initial treatment.

I thought this course was very informational and will keep me more observant to oral structures during my assessments. I recently had a friend with a baby who had a tethered oral tissue, and I felt as though I wouldn't know what to look for even though I understood how it would impact their feeding/breathing/swallowing. I feel after this course, more comfortable and aware of what to look for and interventions to assist following post-op tx.

The presenter was absolutely awesome. She jam packed an hour with amazing resources for assessment and clinical intervention. I am a NICU OT, CNT and am so thankful for courses that are feeding related for my population. This topic in particular meets resistance with some Neos and pediatricians, and we need more presenters like this who know the current research and can help those of us in these settings to advocate appropriately for this patient population.

Maybe this should be rated an advanced class, if terms & concepts are not explained well? Maybe it is assumed that the learner already knows a great deal about TOTs, if the presenter is rapidly moving through these advanced concepts? Or perhaps this should be a 2+ hour class? A one-hour intermediate class shouldn’t require the learner to rewind the video multiple times for many sections during the presentation, or have to pause the presentation to look up terms/concepts via an outside source.
