on the preview test I chose toferson (d) but when I read the handouts its didnt specify so to me it looked like Riluzole (a) because it was the first med listed so I changed my answer, would have had 100% but because this was not clear in the handout I got 85. I learned but it made me doubt my knowledge

It accurately covered a lot of detail regarding ALS with very updated information, and the case examples presented were very realistic, especially in noting not only the physical aspects of ALS, but the psychosocial impact for the patient - AND their caregiver/family members.

My experience with these clients has followed protocol and I was interested in the exercise's limits. Agreed with the dementia and frontal lobe being affected with some patients. It is not all muscle weakness and deterioration. Enjoyed this and will print it out. A great course to remember the function and benefit that OT can individually assist. Creative function and individual planning are such a key to making a difference. Thank you. These patients need us as OT's!!

I have never worked directly with an ALS patient so therefore my knoweledge was limited prior to this course. I learned there are different types of ALS, there are different possible causes or risks, the disease can be categorized into three stages, symptoms can vary greatly, you don't use O2 with ALS patients, and so much more.
