Really appreciated the real life examples working with kiddos. Also, glad we are using a new term for sensory diet as that always added a level of confusion with parent education- sensory lifestyle is much easier to understand.

Poor organization of information on slides. Instructor frequently is referring to other education during presentation vs providing education. The instructor has included more information into presentation than a 1 hour CEU; more like a 1.5-2hr CEU (instructor even admits this during presentation). Slides need editing. In the end I missed the point of this presentation: A Sensory Approach to Home. The information was all over the place.

This course reviewed concepts that I was familiar with but introduced a new way to categorize subcategories of sensory processing which is different than I have learned in the past from other sources. This was very helpful. Keeping it simple was helpful, but maybe we need the next level to go deeper into this topic and compare the differences between how Dunn, Wilbarger, and Ayers categorized sensory processing disorders to help us "old school" OT's wrap our brains around this way of categorizin

It provided an alright overview of many areas, and hopefully would inspire people to look deeper so that they can be better clinicians. It lacked an ND-affirming lens and relied mostly on "inside the box" type treatments that are a poor fit for many clients, especially ones with any language delays or with really significant sensory dysregulation.
