Such wonderful material being presented. However, having the instructor read, and at a very fast pace, left little time to process the material, before moving to the next point. Also, this presentation could have provide multiple visuals and examples of strategies (medication checklists, med minders, pill boxes, environmental setup, fine motor alternatives, etc.) scattered throughout that would have been most helpful with engagement (I find this is what people tend to want). Thank you.

The topic is relevant and well addressed for the most part. More PEO Model examples would be helpful, especially in the presentation and handouts that are directly related to the exam question about environment versus occupation.

This course is fast paced and relevant to OTPs who work with clients requiring medication adherence. The amount of information presented was ALOT and the style was more of a fast paced lecture. The information is excellent, the presentation would benefit from being slowed down and split into two sessions, with more in-depth research info presented. Just my 2 cents,

This is one of the most practical and important ceu courses I have taken in awhile since I work in acute care. Every pt gets an updated med list upon hospital d/c, and many pts are d/cing home alone. Therefore, if only to help prevent unnecessary readmission, addressing medication adherence and potential barriers is imperative for OTs to at least screen for.

It's not only pertains to my work life but home as well. My parents and in-laws are all getting older and I can especially use the information currently for my mother-in-law. She is having changes with memory and has a distrust for other people handling her meds. Working together with her and maybe a neutral party like another therapist might help get her meds and schedule on track.

Inpatient rehab OT here--I actually do address medication management with my patients if it's something they were responsible for before coming into the hospital. I use a kit that I made with large print labels and beads for the pills, and pill organizers from Walgreens. You can learn a lot about the patient from observing them complete this task!
