The instructor answered the objectives that were listed pretty clearly. I liked how the course was structured but it felt choppy at times with transitioning from topic to topic. I liked how the instructor gave real life experienced throughout the course. Overall it was very informative.

Th speaker gave a nice background on the importance of play and approached the importance of play through a neurodivergent lens as well. Play is such an important cognitive learning tool for children and the speaker supported the need to address play when assessing children as play can tell a lot about a child physically, emotionally and cognitively. Great class

Dr. Gadkari was very knowledgeable and seemingly motivated by her work. She is well-spoken, her slides were simple but informative (I've saved them to be able to refer to in the future!), and she spoke with confidence, clearly, and on a level I can relate to (and was hoping for). The information is helpful to both new and seasoned OTPs, and the resources are rich. Awesome!

Some of the teachings I am already doing in practice (e.g. play assessed and as part of intervention/HEP). I am appreciative of a few points that clarified and efficiently verbalized my own beliefs and liked very much her statement of "meeting them where they are". Several resources were made available that I will be looking into further such as the "Play as an Occupation" by Param and Fazio (spelling?).

This course was organized very well. I especially liked the emphasis on including Play assessment as part of the Child's evaluation. Dr. Gadkari did an excellent job with going over the different assessments and all the relevant information one can gain from these assessment to then develop an appropriate intervention plan. Just addressing play as part of a child's occupational profile is important and necessary for all therapists

I hope one day we all can view play as the same and we can all use it to benefit the children we work with to their max potential. This content will not only help me in future practice as an OTA, but also as a new parent. Thank you for sharing your insight with us!
