This course explores evidence-based approaches in stroke rehabilitation, with a focus on emerging areas such as vagus nerve stimulation (VNS) and virtual and augmented reality (VR/AR). Participants will learn current research, clinical application, and therapeutic approaches related to these interventions. Emphasis will be placed on integrating these innovative areas into client-centered, occupation-based practice to enhance motor recovery and neuroplasticity for optimal functional return.

Tina Dimopoulos, OTR/L, CHT, OTD is an occupational therapist with advanced training in both neurological and orthopedic rehabilitation. She earned her Bachelor's (2015), Master's (2016), and Doctorate (2017) in Occupational Therapy from the University of Southern California (USC). Tina completed her OTD clinical residency in outpatient neuro-rehab at Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center and became Neuro-IFRAH certified. She later earned her Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credential in 2021 while working at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. By pursuing specialty areas in both orthopedics and neurology, Tina brings a comprehensive and robust approach to outpatient therapy.
