The course gave great detail about the role OTP's play in their patients cognitive abilities after a mTBI. This is important in order to provide continuity in all occupational goals whether it be ADL's or RTW. The presenter explained that OTP's have excellent tools for assessing patients and they should be used often in order to collect significant data to show positive outcomes.

I work in inpatient rehab, most of my patients are retired, but about 20% are working and are motivated to return to work. The knowledge that I have gained through this course will help me better prepare those patients to return to work. I may not be able to provide all of the assessment and interventions mentioned, but now I will be able to provide these patients with education and resources to seek further occupational therapy on an outpatient basis to continue their recovery.
