The language used in this and the approaches are outdated. For someone who has never worked with autistic individuals, this is misleading. I've worked with this population for the past 10 years and our approaches continue to evolve. I don't think this course has evolved and2 it should be updated to better reflect current practice.

Author failed to recognize the research that has been done on nutritional/diet adjustments and current information that is available to families, how toxins act on a child’s body systems, research on natural supplement use and the successful reversal of many autistic behaviors and characteristics. This is sad because so many families could benefit from nutritional and dietary knowledge that will successfully improve their autistic child’s life, plus quality of life for the entire family.

Appreciated speaker addressing very challenging multidimensional critical functional skills from a very user friendly and reproducible skilled task analysis framework. Will be my "go to" for both my own OT interventions and for parent education training when addressing motivation, functional communication and adaptive skills included in this presentation. In part due to "gold standard evidence based research provided " as well.

This should have been broken up into two sections, one hour each. The first part could be labeled something like "What is Autism" or "Defining Autism". The second part could be the evidence based strategies part. As an OT who has been working with autistic students for 20 years it felt very very beginning, not intermediate, and I would have skipped the first part and just done the second part.

I thought the presenter was very knowledgeable and organized in how she presented her information. I to have used many of the strategies she has recommended, however I do wonder if these approaches would. be considered current. I do think there were some recommendations and comments that didn't feel neurodiversity affirming especially around teaching social skills. I am curious to see how this presenters approach compares to other therapy aproaches.
