There was a LOT of information and ways to address visual impairments through OT intervention. I found the entire course extremely informative, but I was a little overwhelmed by the amount of information and had to come back to course multiple times despite it only being an hr long. I definitely don't think this is an introductory level course.

The level matched the description (introductory) and provided a solid foundation to assess for visual deficits that can affect participation. The course offered specific interventions that apply to school/ based OT. It mentions how to recognize when referral to an eye doctor for treatment is needed.

Other courses I've taken have been very complicated, Subah broke it down into information that was understandable and useful. Thank you!

Great course, in OTA school I do not feel like we covered enough of the anomalies that patients may have. I have a patient who is visually impaired but it is not referenced in her goals and I learned of it through observation. She has CP and will turn her head to look through her glasses sideways when asked to read something or find an object in a jumble. When doing puzzles I have begun putting black construction paper under the puzzle board to help her focus on the pieces that may be distorted
