I liked the presenter and how the strategies were related to real life experiences, as well as current evidence. I feel like I can easily apply the information presented, whereas that is sometimes difficult after I take a CEU.

This was a helpful presentation. As an outpatient Peds OT, I enjoyed learning more about what school-based OT looks like. The course was well-presented, and it will help me communicate more effectively with my patients' school-based OTs.

I am an OT in the preschool special ed. setting. I don't think that sensory processing should have been included in this course. It is a very broad scope and needs more specific time dedicated to it. Sometimes, modalities can cause the opposite effect in a child.

The course was strong because the slides were clear, well-organized, and genuinely informative, making the content easy to follow and apply. While the discussion could have been more refined, it was engaging in a practical way. I appreciated how the host grounded the material in her own professional experience and observations, which reinforced that these strategies work in real-world practice, not just in theory.

I work for a large school district where we have over 50 OTP's on staff. The description of the tier system and least restrictive environment is completely different than how our state interprets use of MTSS. MTSS is for all students to see what general accomodations or strategies may help the child. Special education isn't even considered until the child has moved through tier 3 trying a variety of strategies. If more help is needed, the child is evaluated, and the team considers sped.

The presenter was very sweet and clearly tried her best. However, many important components were left out. It was extremely unclear what was anecdotal vs evidence based. Her experience can be helpful to share, however we should ALWAYS lead with evidence. And without proper training in sensory integration, it is also very harmful to claim to be a SI COTA, as again you need to have the proper training and evidence. Proper training in SI and use of the Taylor Trott Triangle would have been useful.

THANK YOU for the live CEU! I say this in LOVE- I like that you spoke from your experience however, I could tell you were a COTA when you did not explain why you do something a certain way or the theory behind what you are presenting. More information explaining how something works instead of just saying that's how it works would be good. Anyone can make a mistake on the Q & A answers lining up especially when it is live! My hats off to You!! It was a good learning experience for all of us :)

I love that the COTA braved presenting a CEU. The information was more anecdotal then tied to evidence. It was too overarching, briefly touching on OT school based topics with many references being "That's what I think". In this situation, I believe an OTR should have reviewed what the COTA was teaching and the responses to questions before answered.

I really like how she had each slide with not a lot of wording that would overwhelming, she had just a few words and then explained really well. She was a slower talker so we were able to understand the information she was saying instead of talking really fast and it being difficult to get the information we needed out of it. Great course!
