I think that this is a good introductory course for dyslexia, however I am working in a school that is maybe farther ahead with promoting the science of reading and identifying reading issues at an earlier age. There is a very high co-morbidity between ADHD, dyslexia and EF skills, which I am not sure was said by the presenter. Her charts made it seem like it is one or the other and sometimes its all 3.

I didn't realize there were so many people considered dyslexic in our population. Given the overlapping conditions, it made me realize the number could be higher because if one has ADHD or ED, dyslexia may not even be considered.

I feel like I did not leave this course with any new information. She stated it was not a visual deficit disorder, but then listed many visual perception activities to complete. I would have liked more evidence to support how we can assist children and understanding behind it vs very generic treatment ideas and a shot in the dark.
