I found the research interesting related to more streets in the neighborhood verses rural areas related to increase cognition interesting. I thought it would increase confusion similar to those with dementia needing a more closed area of their home.

Some of these concepts were new to me, but they make sense. I just had to get used to the vocabulary, and let them "sink in." For example, implicit memory and explicit memory are new terms to me.....so was practice-based evidence. Good ideas, just new to me.

Succinct explanation of the importance of context (physical space, environment, home layout) to the assessment and intervention for Cognitive issues, say for example Alzheimer's disease. This would also apply to psychosocial and mental health practice areas. Applicable to Aging in Place interventions and home assessment as well as cognitive interventions with dementia clients

The interaction of space and function was always in the background of treatment regime. It is now in the foreground with hopes of engaging patients in spaces that reflect their situation as well as increasing socialization aspect to daily opportunity and challenges to problem solving. A nice sterile environment is not so conductive to maintaining cognition at any level.
