This course was very relevant to what Occupational Therapy is about. I do Home Health and wasn't aware of the CAPS certification available. The course also provided valuable resources, including home assessments, apps, and ideas for home assessment careers. Photos and examples were given to reinforce learning of course content. The question and answer section at the end was also very helpful.

unfortunately, my demographic does not allow for much of what was focused on. 95% of my patients cannot afford to remodel, 75% cannot afford the simple solutions like handyman to install grab bar, or even obtaining a shower bench. I wish some time was spent on in home changes without cost. Also, how to convince people to make necessary changes, I find many are resistant.

Wonderful explanation including examples of Aging in Place and CAPS certification. As a COTA I have gone over environmental modification in the medical setting to make things more accessible but this presentation covered community AIP and gave me a true sense of what it entails. Great course!
