I liked how the presnter talked about the basic influences on behavior like sleep, screen time, nutrition, hydration and food addatives. I feel so many people today are missing this peice to the puzzle and are very quick to medicate children when going back to the basics as discussed in this presentation can make a huge difference in a child's behavior and academic performance.

Tere presented what we as parents/ educators need to think about. I always hear that children don't come with a how-to book. I got the opportunity to live in England as a new mom. A nurse could come to the house the first 2 weeks to make sure the parent knew how to take care of the baby. Each community school, had an under 5 program which included doctors, nurses, play therapists, etc. to support parents in caring for children and themselves. We do well in areas but we could do so much better.

I love your presentations! :-) You present so well. This presentation was so interesting and not only effects the students that we work with but ourselves and our loved ones as well. I loved the exercise that you had us do after sitting for 30 minutes, especially with regard to massaging our face. Wow, that realy made a difference! Thank you! Something I can carry over at work for myself when typing reports!

too much anecdotal. No real case evaluations. Knowledge seemed sketchy. i know more about nutrition ad medical impact than she does. Children nutritional needs are different than adults. Too much assumption that things are similar with food and sleep. Not enough discussion of maladaptive behaviors and distinguishing them from behavioral diagnosis. disappointing. She kept saying she is not an expert, ok I believe her, she's not. Did not learn much. So sorry.
