This course was vey Good because it shows adults how to work with individual differences with a child to get a good back and forth( 2 way communicartion) going. "Instead of adult asking a child a question, child gives a answer/then nothing happening . This is short, stop, start type of thing. We want the child to initiate an interaction, the adult to repond. The flow gets stronger and longer which is a foundation for shared problem solving." I love this example of supported learning.

The instructor explained the importance of allowing the child to problem-solve on their own without going into "fix mode" but offering a prompt to help guide in the right direction. Learning from failure is good and adjusting activities for success. Being aware of high vs. low dysregulation and providing learning opportunities to maintain a balanced self-regulation cycle.
