The course's title states "Yoga Tools for Trauma" and there was no inclusion of yoga. It needs to be renamed to more accurately reflect the information in the course. I was hoping to learn more about specific body postures and positions to help with calming the nervous system. I work with very impaired children who are not able to communicate and need support with true bottom-up strategies. I already knew most of what was presented. She was a good presenter.

This course is great because it gives lots of ideas and tools to help children who are disregulated due to trauma and sensory overload. The Children's minfulness product line looks like a very useful tool for any OT to have in their bag of tricks. I worked for years with children recovering from trauma and never saw such a great resouce as this presentation by Amy M Starkey COTA/L I highly reccomend it.

I also like how to stop and think about wording or re-wording phrases to help participation.

I loved the clear explanation and the comparison of trauma and sensory processing symptoms. I am currently working with a number of students where it is almost impossible in ID which is at the core but both present- but utilization of tools does support growth/help for the long-term goal of self-regulation and how OT can support those students and classrooms that have multiple "behavioral emotional needs' present and are just at a loss of how to calm.
