Great information. Many seniors refuse meals when they have pain then have a vicious cycle of no sleep poor meals and more pain. this reframed my mindset around the whole topic and was helpful in relating all the areas of life back to reducing pain. must implement those healthy routines!

The information was thorough and consistent with my knowledge and research however it did not include the following: 1. How an imbalance in the CNS specifically inhibition of the PNS, can maximize pain and heighten sensitivity receptors. Also I have found a direct correlation between eating enriched whole wheat (found in 90% of the grocery store products) can cause a wide-spread inflammatory response which increases a person's chronic pain (I recommend sign reduction of any wheat product).

As it was emphasized in the course, chronic pain affects many aspects of well-being and quality of life. This course gives specific examples of the way chronic pain influences quality of life and how to address them. I was pleased to see the question about how you handle clients who believe they know everything or who believe they have exhausted all resources. People with chronic conditions often present as if the are the authority rather than listening to the healthcare providers.

Good general information along with actionable intervention ideas. I think I would have liked a deeper dive, with less general information, but I think that would be a different course. So for what this course was intended to do it did good. The population I work with has neurocognitive deficits, so some information on how to implement these strategies for people with dementia or memory deficits would have been helpful.
