This course was very enjoyable, and I appreciated Ingrid's presentation style. Rather than simply reading the PowerPoint slides for the entire hour, she delivered the material in an engaging and polished manner. Her use of pitch, pace, and power helped maintain interest and made the content easier to follow. Ingrid presented the information in a well-organised way, which allowed me as a listener to clearly understand and follow the progression of the course.

The instructor thoroughly discussed examples of the different types of transitions, strategies, and ways of supporting positive and negative habit changes. It would have been even better to have more case study examples and in-depth explanation for using certain models and application of Lifestyle Redesign.

The presenter seems knowledgeable in this area - however I would categorize this as an introductory level course. Also, I was hoping it would be geared specifically for pediatrics, but the info can be used at all levels of development and life cycles.

I had never really thought about all the transitions human beings go through hour by hour, day by day and over the course of a lifetime. The ideas in this class will help me and my patients be able to identify changes and transitions in life and apply techniques to make them more positive and easier to handle

As an OT Clinician working in an acute care setting, each patient is actively experiencing changes AND transitions, based on their acute medical needs. I found this Course very interesting in differentiating various life transitions as positive, neutral, and negative. So much of what happens outside the hospital walls can directly impact a patient’s overall prognosis and participation in therapy services. Interesting course with vital information!

This course exceeded my expectations. I went in with the expectation of hearing about difficulties with transitions and the role of OT in making transitions healthier when it comes to pediatric population. I love how the presenter touched on that, but also expanded out to the adult population as well. After all, we all go through life changes that come with the need to transition. You will have a whole lot of appreciation for this course if you are presently going through a transition yourself.

In addition, I love how you also spoke about the KAWA and PEO model, as well as the I PLAN strategy! All valuable models and strategies to assist individuals with identifying barriers within self and/or environment. Great Course! Will highly recommend to colleagues.

In my work at a SNF I see patients dealing with the emotions of unexpected transitions from illness, falls, loss of loved ones, losing their independence, moving from living independently to long term care or ALF. This course helps he recognize and understand the feelings and changes they are going thorough. It will help me set goals for the new beginnings stage, help them to identify new roles and routines and to help them use strategies to use during these transition periods.
