When an individual needs assistance to bathe or toilet knowing which system or supports to choose can be difficult, as there are many different options on the market currently. This presentation gives an introduction to what adapted bathing and toileting systems are, who they would be best used for, compares and contrasts the main systems on the market, and reviews funding options.

This course provides an overview of the process of delivering lifestyle management interventions for the treatment of pain by exploring the process of developing a plan of care and strategies for documenting effectively. Case study examples are reviewed to demonstrate the outcomes of a lifestyle management approach.

This is a 2-part series on facial palsy. Part 2 explains how to make an assessment of a patient's needs, and specific treatment strategies based on exam findings. Case studies, photos and videos are used. The role of occupational therapy, and indications on when to collaborate on medical and surgical interventions, are described in detail. Carrying a backpack to school is a common activity demand of school-age children, and while there are many options for types of backpacks, there are ways to properly pack and wear a backpack to reduce biomechanical strain. We, as allied health professionals, should be involved in the complete care of the patient from lifestyle modifications onwards to their long-term physical and mental well-being.
